And by hooked I mean, selling the Montego soon so I can buy a RallyX car. I’m thinking Fox Mustang, small, rear wheel drive for all the fun, and still 5.0 V8. This may be the last (or second to last) time I race the Milan. All I can think is that if it’s this much fun in a car that’s completely wrong for this type of race, it must be awesome in a prepped car.

A road racing track looks like it would be a lot of fun, what are you racing there?

How much fun would I have rallycrossing in my ‘03 Pathfinder? Edit: dannng it... “For safety reasons, rollover-prone vehicles such as SUVs, 4x4's, and many full-sized trucks will not be allowed to compete.”

Here’s my ride! =) It’s a track day with PCA, so not racing, per se, but still incredible fun!

Hey man - work is great, but I’m a lot busier on a regular basis than I was at my old job (a good thing). With that and family and several recent freelance design jobs, I didn’t have the time to commit to RFD. I still love to write and will do more in the future, just not on a regular basis at the current time. How’s your summer been?

Glad to hear the job is good. Hope you get back to writing at some point, your stuff is good. I get the time constraint, there’s lots I’d like to do that family and work precludes. Summer’s not bad here, mostly work and kids but I’ve been cycling whenever possible and trying to find parts to get my projects on track when I do have time, trying to stay motivated.

I really appreciate the compliment. I’d love to make design/writing/photography a second career of sorts after I’ve got enough money socked away from my desk job. I’m sure that’s at least a decade away, but it’s never too early to start working toward it, right?

If it’s a stock ride height they may let you. A guy ran a stock super crew cab F-150 at the even featured in the post I shared. The thing barely fit through the gates, it was hysterical. I also appreciate him being there so I actually beat someone in the Milan hahahaha.

And hey, it may not be a race but you’ll get to haul ass legally and that’s what it’s all about.

It’s not lifted (yet) - might have to look into it.

Hauling ass legally while surrounded by GT3s, GT4s and all other manner of fantastic machinery. Hoping I can get a point-by from at least a few cars in my run group, because I’m sure I’ll be giving them out like candy!

Hahahaha. One of the best moments will driving was at mine was when the instructor was like “this is like racing a fucking sofa!!!” I lost it. Was hysterical. After that when I was about to leave one guy said “Alright, now don’t drive it like a race car on the way home” I replied with “It didn’t drive like a race car during the race!!!!” Hahaha

Work is good, family is good, and picked up a couple freelance design jobs recently, too. Heading to the track this weekend - can’t complain!

You’re such a great artist - I’d love seeing a weekly or bi-monthly drawing here from you. Easier said than done, I know.
